Kari A. Dixon, MSPT, COMT
Kari has been practicing for over 8 years in out-patient orthopedics and sports medicine practices. She opened Accelerated Physical Therapy in February of 2007. Kari received a Master of Science Degree in Kinesiology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia and a Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. Kari is a Maitland Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) and is a proud member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Most recently, she was certified by the Titleist Performance Institute as a Golf Fitness Instructor.
Kari has treated a wide variety of orthopedic injuries, worked with patients of all ages and as even worked with professional athletes. She is one of a few therapists in the area with the knowledge and training to work with a variety of cartilage repair techniques including ACI (Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation or Carticel), microfracture, and OATS (Osteochondral Allograft Transfer System). She also enjoys working with golf injuries and working with clients and their golf professionals/instructors to improve their golf swing.
