Kari A. Dixon, MSPT, COMT
Kari has been practicing for over 10 years in out-patient orthopedics and sports medicine practices. She opened Accelerated Physical Therapy in February of 2007. Kari received a Master of Science Degree in Kinesiology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia and a Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. Kari is a Maitland Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) and is a proud member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Most recently, she was certified by the Titleist Performance Institute as a Golf Fitness Instructor.
Kari has treated a wide variety of orthopedic injuries, worked with patients of all ages and as even worked with professional athletes. She is one of a few therapists in the area with the knowledge and training to work with a variety of cartilage repair techniques including ACI (Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation or Carticel), microfracture, and OATS (Osteochondral Allograft Transfer System). She also enjoys working with golf injuries and working with clients and their golf professionals/instructors to improve their golf swing,
Jeannine M. Burgett, PT
Jeannine is a licensed Physical Therapist in the Commonwealth of VA who has over 20 years of experience in the field. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas, Texas. Before joining the Accelerated PT team, Jeannine has worked in a variety of settings including Sports Medicine, Outpatient, Inpatient, Acute and Private Practice. She is passionate about educating patients in healthy life practices.
Jeannine has been married for 28 years and is the proud mother of 3 children; two sons and a daughter. She enjoys music and is interested in Bodyweight Training.
Carlos A. Salinas, LPTA
Carlos has been a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant since 2009. He received his certification from the Medical Campus of NVCC in Springfield, Virginia. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.
Before becoming a member of the Accelerated Physical Therapy team, Carlos has experience at a number of outpatient clinics in the Northern Virginia area, including Lake Ridge Physical Therapy, Chantilly Physical Therapy and INOVA Physical Therapy. He has also worked at MFA (Medical Facility of America) in Arlington, Virginia.
Carlos is a native Spanish speaker from Bolivia and has been playing soccer since he moved to the United States at age 13. He is currently playing for the Marymount University soccer team.
